Transoral laser resection of a large schwannoma in the retropharyngeal space

Introduction: The contents of the retropharyngeal space are limited to fat and nodes. Primary tumors originating from rare, therefore, existence schwannoma in is infrequent. Method: This paper describes a case large excised transorally with use co2 laser. lesion measured about 6/6 x 3/5. Result: No peri-or post-operative complications were encountered. procedure allowed quick resumption an oral diet return normal activity for patient. Conclusion: is, our knowledge, first report this technique used excision schwannoma.
